thanks. i'll add it to the list. but i think i should be good with this first project as i used the values already given on the FPD file i tweaked. really all i changed was arrangement of the holes and text. that's about it.
 
i think i'll swing buy radioshack this weekend.

first, go buy yourself something like this (calipers)--they are cheap.

now, get your pcb and order your parts first! receive them.
now you've got your switches, jacks, pots, etc.
you can use those calipers to determine exactly the size hole you need.
then...design your panel and send to fpe. it will save you some serious
heartache.
