... Hi Guys And Gals... 'Hope everyone had a great holiday season... and
a Happy New Year!

A couple of days ago, I received a copy of Fritz "Puff" Doddy's new
CD/EP "The Feeling Of Far". As an ex "Free-Form" album rock DJ/ MD,
I've heard a lot of albums by a ton of groups over the years... and I'm
here to tell you that "The Feeling Of Far" is one of the best CD's I've
heard from an un-signed artist in a long time! This is the kind of CD
that I would give a lot of airplay to... the songwriting's great, the
musicianship's first rate, and the production values are very
creative... Fritz has that '67 British psychedelic sound NAILED!!! The
songs flow together like the Moody Blues used to do on their albums...
and like the "Classic" Moody Blues... there's a ton of very creative
Mellotron playing... which makes this tronatic very happy! If you were
to take some "Moody Blues"... mix in a bit of "Klaatu"... add in a touch
of "The Smell Of Incense" and stir... you have "The Feeling Of Far"...
Fritz... you've batted a thousand on this one!!! For those of you who
would like to check these songs out... thee are excerpts of all four
songs at Ken Merbler's site: www.tronsounds.com ... they're up for
consideration for "Rime 2"... or better yet... contact Fritz about this
EP/CD...this is something you're gonna want in your collection!

Concerning our 'Tron get together's... and the problem of Martin flying
over here... I was going to suggest that Martin sail over here... then
it hit me... how about a Tron seminar on a cruise liner??? there might
be a package deal that could be worked out with one of the cruise liners
that could include not only the members of our little group... but our
families as well, combining a Tron get together with a nice
vacation/cruise!!! I'm sure that the liner could supply a place to work
on the Trons...that is when we could be dragged away from the food...or
the drinks... or catching some rays at the pool, etc As there was talk
of extending the seminars for a week... why not do it while cruising the
Caribbean??? Just a thought...
