Wasn't the princess' Mellotron repossessed? I seem to recentlyrecall a mention of some sort of ruckus about that back when.

Hi Jonand gang, I sent the royal family a sympathy card and letterin 1997,
after the untimely death of Princess Diana ( England 'sRose) in Paris .
I also just happened to make mention of Princess Margaret's Mellotron. To mysurprise, I got an answer from her secretary (on royal lithographed
stationery,of course ) ! She (PM) acknowledged that fact that she ownedthe
Tron once, but didn't specify anything further. I think JB mentioned once that
an attempt was made to reposses the Tron but failed. So I wonder if that
classic keyboard is sadly in storage somewhere far beneath the walls of
Buckingham Palace .Cheers, --JK-- (a bit moldy from basement storage too)
