Subject: RE: [Mellotronists] Keyboard Survey '76

Hi,

Yes I have one and have used it on my M400very successfully. I recorded sounds from the M300 onto ¼” tapesusing a revox. The only hassle is that I only have one tape frame at the momentbut the guide combs are very easy to put in and out.

Cheers

John

Hi

Re. Clay's query: Ithink what they mean is, any sound you like can be installed ... BYSTREETLY.  You'd have had to record it, then send the resulting tape to
Streetly, to becopied onto a 3/8 inch wide tape format for loading
into theTron.  The way they worded it, it implied the lucky Mk. 5
owner could do itall himself!

Don't forgetthe infamous 1/4" conversion kit that did enable tron owners to make theirown tapes.  Chick Corea did this with Gail Moran's voice.  Is thereanyone on this list that actually has one of these kits, and/or actually usedone?
