Hi all,
Just wanted to thank everyone for the posts, clips, and well....just
great stuff.
I saw King Crimson in late 1971 in Waterbury Connecticut.
Edgar Winter was the opening act.
I remember seeing two Mellotrons, one stage left, one stage right.
I wondered why they had two 'Trons, but only played one.
At the time, I didn't know that the 'Tron was so prone to breaking down.
Were they M-400's?
Looked like they might have been.....the cabinets were white.
I also saw The Moody Blues at Boston Garden in 1972.
I thought I was getting bad seats because we were in back of the band,
if any of you remember, Boston Garden was a round venue.
Turns out that they were GREAT seats!
I got to see Mike Pinder masterfully playing the MK 2 and a white
Fender Strat. on one song, and Ray Thomas playing a Bass Flute on
"When you're a free man."
"The Seventh Sojourn" wasn't even released yet.
(Shows you how old I am, by crakie!)
Anyhow, thanks for this group too.
