list, with morenew faces, more real information, more
results andless prejudice. We've effectively divorced
ourselves froma mountain of information from Brian
Kehew, GaryHalhbeck, Steve Frothingham, Kean, Jim
Blair, PaulGogo, Terry Kelley and dozens of others
because we justcan't stop admiring the emperors new
clothes."Greetings All,
For information sake , the majority of names indicated above were part
of Dave Kean's orig. Moses Lake,WA group. Many relocated to
CA when DK set up shop in N.Hollywood,CA . Terry Kelleylater
separated himself from that group as did Robert Laughton.I have corresponded privately and neighborly with Gary Hahlbeck (cabinets),
Brian Kehew (MK2 #125), Steve Frothingham (MK2), about things
Mellotronic thru the years. Dave Amels and I remained in touch.
He assisted with initial designs of valve preamp of the MK-VI ,
and lives in my former hometown in Northern NJ .
Dave Amels himself attended the Philly Tronfest May-2001
and twice met John Bradley .In addition, I also purchased Robert Laughton's Tron,
and freely exchanged tech/engineering notes with Terry K.However, I feel that almost every message from you Mark, is
primed to be challenging . Almost as bad as one incident . One of those
names mentioned above phoned me at suppertime years back and ventedhis
spleen without cause... Thereby ruining the entire meal and weekend
in general for myself and my wife.As far as another round of Mellotron Wars goes ,
that has and will continue to be a fact-of-life, begun in late 1970's
with Sound Sales and successive enterprises. I welcomethe news of
blended sounds, better tape stock, new models, improved parts,
and lots more. It serves the greater cause of the Mellotron community. But the constant bickering and defensive tone onlyserves to divide
and NEVER conquer........'Nuff said, -- Jerry Korb
