COPIED FROM LINKED WEBSITE:
"" "Mellotron" the name is owned by Mellotron Archives.

You can name your Mellotron whatever you want to. John named his
Mark. Other Mellotrons have names like the Mooatron, Mouseotron,
Synertron, Formicatron, Pindertron (a.k.a. Sharayah), Promiscutron
(a.k.a. The Bastard a.k.a. the EMItron), Stickertron, Julia, and
Guaranteed Divorce If I Buy It. ""

That last one would seem to be the standard m.o. Not necessarily in
this group, but I think a lot of people here aren't actually 'Tron
owners.

Anyway, my story is a bit different:
I'll skip the background about passing up a $450 'Tron in 1990 and
just about killing myself for it ever since, which she knew about.
Suffice that $3000-3500 wouldn't seem in the feasible ballpark to
reconcile the anguish. Add on that she was pregnant again only a
year after having twins.

So we're riding in the car, don't know how we got around to it...
but the upshot was: a $3-4000 Mellotron purchase was OK with her IF
I AGREED TO CUT MY HAIR (which was like shoulder length, not down to
my @ss or anything). Christ!!! Women!!! Not the "guaranteed
divorce" line, but the straights among you I'm sure can relate in
some way.

Epilogue: it grew back in less than a year. But then I wound up
cutting it again.

Question: I see the pictures online and wonder why so many of the
most prominent Mellotron afficionados are bald/ing? Wait, I think I
figured it out...
