I received the following email from .se which Markus gave me
permission to post:
"Since winter NAMM 2005 we are taking custom orders for new MkII's.
The new model will be called MkIIx and have 10 banks on each side.
The price will depend on the options wanted, but is on the region of
$19,000.
In the near future there will be a test in an appropriate magazine."
To which I say, WAY TO GO - THAT'S OUTSTANDING!!!!
That seems like a pretty reasonable price for such a powerful
machine (not that it's a possibility for me).
I must say, it's a strange state of affairs that we have two separate
groups servicing our small community. But I really appreciate the
efforts of John, Martin, and Markus in keeping the Trons alive and
viable. Kean seems to have checked out but I've talked to him in
years past and found him helpful.
Who knows, maybe Chamberlin, Birotron, and Orchestron groups will
follow. OK maybe not.
