Hello everyone!
MONEYPITs have started for 2005. That's Mellotron Owners of New England
(at this point it may as well be "Mellotron Owners of Nearly Everywhere"),
a.k.a. Mellotron Owners Needing Excessive Yen for Purchases for Improving
their 'Trons. We had a banner year last year, and this year it is starting
out a treat.
Photos and the trip report are up for "MONEYPIT April 2005." The spot was
(again!) Vermont, home of Mellotron Professor Jerry Korb. Two highlights
for this MONEYPIT:
- Jimmy Moore's FX Console #10006 (a.k.a. "The Mooatron") has been
mechanically restored to top-notch working condition and refinished
beautifully by Mr. Korb.
http://www.kleonard.com/mellotron/vt0405/index.htm- Mellotronists Ken Leonard, Jimmy Moore, and Brad Schuman have the
privelege of introducing "Improvised Waves: Mellotron and synthesizer
improvisations," recorded over Christmas Week 2004. Fans of the Mellotron
and classic electronic might find the headphone journey
irresistible! (Where the hell do I come up with those awful marketspeak
tag lines??!!?? :-) )

Enjoy!
