Reading the postings it is really interesting to hear about the amount of samples out there that doesn´t even seem to sound close to the real thing...but maybe we are all approaching this thing from the wrong angle. Maybe the weird samples will become creative and unique instruments of their own someday...
Wouldn´t it be great if someone on a Cello list somewhere said I´d love to tour with my Cello but it´s too fragile so I tour with my Mellotron...O.K the Mellotron doesn´t sound exactly like a Cello ( especially not the lower notes..) and the action isn´t really fast enough but it´ll do...
