Greetings Jimmy and Gang,

I bought a new Ibanez Digital Delay DM1000 in 1983 for my M400/681.
But soon after, I became dissatisfied with the "harshness"
of the  effects rendered to the Tron.  Sounded great ONLY
when applying massive amounts of delay to notes.
Gave awesome decay times of 15-25 seconds.

It also clipped/overloaded much too easy, as we know the
M400's output is doggone "hot."
The DM1000  gave a looped 1-sec sample/hold ,but  a
pronounced "thunk" every second was huge detractor then/now.

.....Solution ?  I stopped using it as soon as I got good ol'
fashioned Accutronics spring-tanks for the M300/JKMK6/
and "Julia" .

With 20/20  hindsight, it was an early/inexpensive attempt
at stand-alone digital FX over 20 years ago. Loads more
great stuff today  available everywhere.

Cheers,  Jerry Korb  (I still miss my old full-size Echoplex....)
