Hi Guys,

I had a similar thing happen to me. A man who was going into a nusing
home gave me his Voice of the Theatre sound system with several
Macintosh amps, Preamps etc... and 1000 New old stock RCA, Genalex,
Amperex and Mullard tubes from 1941 to 197000. I gave everything but
the tubes away which I gave to any friend or acquaintence that needed
one. Some of you have gotten some. I put 9 of them up on Ebay and got
$1200. Two the bidders privately bought 8 more for $ 2000. I am putting
some more up soon.

I contacted the fellows friends and found out he had died and left no
heirs. I felt conflicted because I think that if I did not at least try
to share my good fortune (even though it was my labor)
that it would be immoral.

I finally tried to give a third of current and future earnings to his
synagouge. They refused it, saying that I had given away most already.
I demurred. They finally sent me away telling me to give 10% if to my
favorite charity if I wanted to.

It still doesn't sit well with me. One day I could walk past a Mk2 that
is gathering dust or being used as a planter (like the one many of us
walked past at Rockfield). it woud be a windfall of sorts. What should
cool modern tronlister do ?

Of course I am not comparing any of this to the John's post. It just
reminded me.
AND
Owning 6 dogs I can recommend "Get Serious" it has lemon oil in it and
has been very good to my woodwork and my waterlogged Freeman.

Best
