First, let me say it was a pleasure and honorto meet up with Jerry and Mali... I guess you can say it could havebeen an unofficial meeting with MONEYPIT... Also, kudos to Ken fora wonderful site full of info on Trons & the canal..... My wifejust informed me that part of my Dad's Day gift is a membership to theCanal Krewe....GreetingsDave and gang,
My pleasureto show you the historical digs around Waterloo
Village. Discussing 40 year old instruments amid buildings
erectedin 1760 is quite inspiring .Congratsto Peg for recruiting you into the CSNJ.
With avg.age of 70 of most members, the org. needs a
new generationof people with diverse interests/backgrounds
to continue the legacy. And of course, to also assure the
futureof things Mellotronic.....
Theexchange with the Congessman was extremely entertaining... As Jerrywas asking him the Watergate trivia question, he was rudely interruptedby the locals... We decided to head out and as we were leaving, theCongressman blew everyone away and insisted on the end of the question...The Congressmanfrom Sussex County was not your typical
hand-shaking,baby-kissingperson . I was quite impressed by
his sinceritywith the canal's history and future preservation.Hey JB,can the Tron be registered a national historic
artifactin England ??
Jerry, do you think some of the missing Nixon tapes fromWatergate are laying in some tape rack somehere??? C&OCanal? Watergate? Tapes? Trons?? Dave... ( .... Tronlessin Sussex)Hmmmm, let'ssee.....reported 18 minutes missing on
one 1972Watergate tape. 24 seconds per 3/8" tape.
And 35tapes....that makes about 14 minutes on an
M400 taperack. Nah, prob. not.......Not unlessformer Pres. Nixon laced an M400 with
the Watergateinfo. Much like Chris Dale with Martin's
help, sequenced "Gingerbread Man" on M400 tape frame.
.....Nah...'Ya think ??Cheers,JK (8 seconds of silence.....most unusual.....)
