Hmm -- since I apparently have fairly new preamp/amp (it's the single
combined board with the UA741), I'll check it for the 47k resistor.

I hate to keep asking these kind of questions, but has anyone 'goneback'
from the ua741 single board to the older designs for the amp/preamp?

Alternatively, any recommended changes to the ua741 design?

Hello Again Tom and Gang,

You got the PML1/2 , which was orig. a MK-V shared component.
The latter mdl.  also incl. passive pan /reverb ctrl. provisions.

Easy to spot the 47 K piggy-backed across the coax jack.
The ua 741 Op-Amp circuit has not been changed as far as I know.
The 741 chip updates the lineamp ckt (WME289) , while the preamp ckt.
is identical to that in all M400's (WME290) .

Hope this helps, Jerry Korb
