Hello all -
While sorting through some ancient emails today I stumbled across a
posting on here from yonks ago, about the track 'Tarot' by Andrew
Bown (the theme from early 70s UK TV series 'Ace of Wands') - notable
for the appearance of our beloved 3 violins bubbling away in the
background. (I suspect it was probably a MkII as the theme was
originally released as a single in mid-1970, I'm not sure if the then-
new M400 was in circulation/appearing on any recordings just yet at
that point)...
Anyway, at the time of that posting I don't think it was available
anywhere other than on a very rough-sounding download. But I recently
found out, for those of us who go ∗yippee!!∗ at such things
(including yours truly), there's a CD available which was released
last year, called "Magpie: 20 Junkshop Pop Ads and Themes", which
features said track (along with other retro stuff from the early 70s,
ranging between the brilliant, the twee, the nostalgic and the
utterly bizarre (tracks from actor Peter Wyngarde's solo album,
anyone?)).
More about it here -

all these years!
