Hello everyone.
My name is Ryan Guidry. Some of you may of heard of me from the bands
Deadwood Forest or Scattered Pages. Anyhow, I just recently joined this
mailing list and this is my first post. Though I myself do not own a
Mellotron, I have had plenty of access to Mitch Mignano's (Deadwood
keyboardist) M400. I'm currently enjoying the delights of the Mike Pinder
CD-rom at my home, and using the samples extensively on my newer recordings.
I was wondering if any Moody Blues fans knew which Mellotron sound is used
in Dr. Livingstone, I Presume (the motif which appears at the song's intro
and repeats directly before each chorus). It is obviously run through a
fuzz box but I don't know which tape it is. Might it be MKII piano?
Also, years ago (probably in '96 or '97) Mitch forwarded me an email from
Mellotronists which contained a list of all the Chamberlain sounds used on
Seventh Sojourn. Does anyone still have this list and if so could you email
it to me?
I look forward to future discussions in this group.
Take care,
Ryan
