I just updated my will (the wife did). Since dogs are property in the
US we had to tie the care of our dogs to a property trust and secret
trustee overseer to watch the trustees and make sure our 6 kids livein
the style and house to which they are accustomed. My studio becomes a dog lounge, Jeff gets my Mellotron and if he ain't
around Streetly does.(freight prepaid). ginoGood point mentioned, Gino.
My buddy in Wisconsin owns three purebred and AKC-reg/ traceable
basset-hounds. Each worth same as renvovated M400.
He had to specify the property trust and trustees you mentioned. No Trons in his collection of things, but many items lovingly
cared-for during decades . Remember : "One person's trash is
another's treasure." Or vice-versa. Get it in writing ......
This is very important if you don't have kids, spouse or significant
anybody to pass-along your things to, musical or not.Has anybody on this List contemplated leaving their Tron or
other instr. to R&R Hall of Fame or snyth museum ? Just curious. If "yes", you must specify that the item MUST be displayed with
you as benefactor. Otherwise it will wind-up in storage with
hundreds or thousands of items, never to be seen again.
The Smithsonian has approx. 50 unmarked warehouses in the
Balt-DC district full of material given them by voluntary and estate
donations.I personally prefer that a person or persons with shared interest
enjoys that which I lovingly nurtured thru the years.Cheers, Jerry Korb (not quite ready for choir/stringsfrom above)
