Subject: Re: [Mellotronists] sound sales #'s

John converted my Sound Sales machine by moving my power supply so the
heat would rise. Sound Sales seem to have engaged in a lot of
'different' practices. My machine has #939 written in pencil under the
left cheek block.

Of course Jim if you are talking about your first machine that came out
of that formerly posh studio in NYC, it could've been placed in a
different place because of the special finish you had on your machine.
I wonder about the origin of the finish on your machine, UK factory,
Sound Sales, Local kitchen builder. When I found that machine, I was
buying a pile of EML stuff and 2 of my units had custom striped oak end
cheeks on them that had been made for them. Thank god they found the
original tolex box for my 200 ):

So who numbered what ? Where ? and who Formica'd the Formicatron ?

This must come to trial.

Best regards
(hey Jim)
