P.S.
I forgot to mention the new swell pedal jack on the preamp.
The jack on the back of the MK VI preamp is a T-R-S balanced output.
There is a new jack on the front. It is intended for a T-R-S swell
pedal. That means that you can connect a swell pedal (for keyboards,
10kOhm) to this jack with only one cord.
The balancing of the "rear" output and its 600 ohm output impedance
stays unaffected by the volume pedal. <-- (I'm not sure what the
sonic benefit is, but it must be a good thing... right?)
I found a keyboard swell pedal in an Antique shop yesterday. It has
a single T-R-S plug on it, and a $9 price tag. No surprise that it's
wired to the MK-VI now. It works... and sounds great. The noise
level is extremely low.
