When the band I was with at the time were recording at Abbey Road, Eric Stewart produced a couple of tracks on the album. During various conversations I had with him, he confirmed the multi-track vocals on separate faders thing. It is exactly as mentioned elsewhere. One highlight of our session with him by the way, was a solo performance by him on piano in Studio 3 of I'm not in Love. Magic Memories.
