1. Who does anybody know of off-list that is a longer continuous
owner than those already mentioned?  I'd think Sir Paul would be a
good guess but I imagine there may be some older ones, maybe even at
Buckingham Palace, perhaps?

Bill Wyman springs to mind.  He's had his MKII since the mid 60s.

2. I'd also be curious if any of the tronbros and their extended
family overseas have any "family heirloom" Mellotrons, classic one-
owner models from back in the early days?

My MKI was owned continuously from 1964 'til 5 years ago by one family.

3. What's the status on the new British Mellotron production effort?
Anybody heard any information?  Am I the only one that thinks this is
awesome?

Things are progressing gently.  We have some spark eroding going on just now and Brian is active on the vertical miller preparing tools and jigs.  Apart from plastics, motors, cabinets and keyboards, everything else will be produced in house because we're an arrogant bunch of clever sods.  What are the odds against getting three fantastically talented and ultimately loveable chaps together under one roof?  Oh the modesty.  Mike Dickson is planning on travelling the vast distance 'twixt Edinburgh and Blithbury just to be in our presence.  Can't say I blame him.   We always send him home spent.

Happy New Year,

Martin
