First of all, happy new year to all. I hope 2004 is especially kind to all of you. Mellotron symposium in the upcoming year? That would be especially cool. In fact, my alcohol recessive gene demands it!
If you open the following attachment, you will notice it is Rick Wakeman (and Chris Squire) from the Going for the One tour (1977). From what I've come to understand, I thought Wakeman used a Mellotron on this tour (the double-black-one that Mr. Dale currently owns); however, I don't see it-- unless it stuck way back in the second tier of keyboards. In fact, what struck me as odd, is that there are three (3) Birotrons in his set-up [two (2) to Wakeman's left and one (1) in the upper keyboard set-up]. I didn't think the Birotron was created until later on in 1978. Did anyone see the tour and (hoping to job some memories here) remember anything regarding this?
