Folks,
I may have stumbled across someone who can tap in to some excess factory
capacity in Singapore. He has already produced sliders and switches for
the MG-1 synth---something made of the purest unobtainium, until now.
I ∗may∗ (let me stress that---MAY!!) be able to have other parts produced,
electronic or mechanical. Obviously there'd be minimum orders, etc, but
that'd all have to be worked out.
MG-1 switches/sliders are a great start, as would be 1K tempco
resistors. But those aren't used in 'trons.
What 'tron parts do we find we're lacking?
Here's my list:
#1) The red plastic cap/knob for the on-off switch for the M400.
:-)
If I could find out how many folks out there need one of these and how much
they'd be willing to shell out, ∗perhaps∗ I can get a run of them made.
I would also need detailed pics/drawings with measurements, or I'd have to
send him the one I have (not desirable, but may have to). Anyone got some
heavy duty specs on those buggers?
I figure we can start with this simple item. If there are other 'tron
parts that are made of unobtainium and for which we'll need some stock, I'd
be glad to compile a list.
Soooo...If you need an on-off cap for your switch, please send me an e-mail
and let me know the quantity and price you'd be willing to pay per
item. Also indicate other parts you're seeking, and maybe we'll work on
that stuff next ∗if∗ this goes well.
Thanks,
...kl...M400 #805, I wonder if he'd do blue ones...?
