I just heard some very bad news. Elliott Smith, 34, has just died in Los Angeles of an apparent suicide.
He was an excellent singer / songwriter who used a Chamberlin on his recordings (played by Jon Brion?). I caught him on Saturday Night Live once, complete with Chamberlin. His CD "XO" still gets heavy rotation in my car's CD player. I know that he had at least a couple of fans on this list.
He will be missed.
