i inserted that manually actually.

i use pine to read my mail MOST of the time.
i have two choices - reply or reply-to-all.
[unless i change my pine config to ALWAYS use reply-to]
reply-all will end up sending two copies to the original sender,
thus also increasing internet traffic.
[i also HATE HTML mail, but this is another issue... HTML is
for port 80 on a webserver... not port 25 SMTP...]

i do not agree with all the points made, but it's your list.
IMHO this is mailing list traffic, not personal correspondence,
so the default, again, in my opinion, should be the list.
i am subscribed to quite a few, and this is the only one that
i have to be careful not to only reply to the original sender.
again - just my own personal preferences.
i just hope the list members understand that when i am replying at
3 am i sometimes do not notice that i am only reply to the sender...
i usually catch my error, but not always...
