The reason we're going to be building new trons is just this.  A beaten up machine costs nearly 2000GBP BEFORE restoration.   A realistic price for an as new machine with twelve months guarantee should therefore be 3500+GBP and you still have the shipping costs to add in plus customs.  A new M400 will be around 3000GBP plus carriage.  This would appear the be the way forward.  Don't ask about MKIIs.  The five we have are all sold and the last purchase price we paid would scare the dead.  Think in terms of 12000GBP for a restored machine and you might just be close..ish!
