Herbie had a tron and even credited it on Sextant.
Also on Crossings.

Yeah, I never thought "Walrus" had any Tron...there
was a discussion a long time ago in this group about
cello on Crimso's "Fallen Angel", I think it was. Was
there ever resolution on that one (I was just
listening to the record. There's certainly Tron cello
on "Red" and "Starless"). Has anyone else given "Mr.
Kite" and "Lovely Rita" a listen for "Spot The
Mellotron"? I'd like to hear everyone's two cents!
There's always unlisted Mellotron in songs. The first
Herbie Hancock Headhunters album definitely has flute
buried in there, unlisted. Emerson always said he
never played one, but "Diamondhard Apples on the Moon"
has some wonderfully scratchy MkII strings. Did Jethro
Tull only use Mellotron in the studio ("Witches'
Promise," "Cross-Eyed Mary")? Did they take one on the
road during the Aqualung period (anyone here see Tull
up close in the early 70's)?
