My fave has to be A Wizard A True Star. A groundbreaker holding merit
and repeated listenings to this day. When I first heard this on WORJ-
FM's (Winter Park, FL) nightly album features in 1973 it just totally
knocked me flat & I ran out and bought it the next day. I remember
filling in the postcard that came with the original release that
said "If you send this back to me, I'll mention your name on the next
album". When the Todd LP finally came out, there was this big poster
with all these little names written on it...thousands upon thousands
of them. My Nunavutian name (never spelled correctly by anyone) was
printed perfectly. I remember Todd being told at the time to edit the
music down to one disc, since PVC was in short supply because of the
first Arab oil embargo.
Imagine Todd Rundgren produced by Joe Meek.
