I'm tired of all those bands that sound like Creed (who imitate Pearl Jam).
Are there ∗any∗ originals out there??
I mean aside from you, Fritz. And maybe Mike Dickensian.
> Hey, just so you Brits know, I don't know anyone here in the States,

This is to make people angry so they'll protest the draft and then start
protesting the war. That Senator in your state doesn't want the draft---he
wants the rabble roused up enough to protest the war itself. It's just a
little misdirection.
It's kinda like saying all the cellists who auditioned for you suck because
you really wanted glockenspiel on the track anyway, so you send all the
cellists home so you can have the sound you want. Dig?

I picked that up on the urging of this list, and it's...ummm...well, I
should listen to it again and in the car, not at work. All I heard was
Radiohead, though, whom I believe talented just not entirely my cup o' tea,
that's all.
> I also can't stand "the White stripes"
See if the warden will let you wear something else, Fritz.
> I got a new travel mug for christmas
I got a day off (only because I got snowed in).
> Mike Dickinson is a cutey-pie
I want to know who's having his baby.
Oh, by the way, right out of high school I owned a 1975 AMC Pacer (recently
trashed out here on the list---harumph!!!), green with tan interior, 258
cu. in. Jeep engine (straight 6), 3 speed on the floor. It was built like
a tank, ran fine, and was ∗great∗ for hauling all my gigging gear around
and my friend's---lots of cargo room in a bubble. I was such a ragin' stud
then. But, yep, absolutely no (ahem) privacy. Not many people know that
the passenger door was longer than the driver's side door to allow easier
entrance/exit from the back seat. Smooth as glass at 85 or 90 mph,
too. Gas hog, though (even though the previous owner had ripped off all
the pollution control stuff except for the PCV valve).
So anyway...'tron stuff:
- Redshift's "Siren" is a bit more like "Redshift 2 - Ether" only not as
stonkin' as track 4 on "Ether". 'tron samples.
- Redshift's "Halo" is a bit more like Arc (Boddy/Shreeve). Darn, haven't
listened closely enough, but I think there are 'tron samples on there, too.
And still not listened to closely enough is Radio Massacre International's
latest "Maelstrom"---hi Duncan. How did you get both tracks exactly
28:00? :-)
