i stand by my statements of the deliberate deception by mr. kean.
the potential purchaser was told repeatedly that:
it would be done soon
it WAS done and will be shipping soon
it WAS done and HAD shipped
there was mis-communication with "the shipping guy" and it had not shipped.

these statements were not true.
these statements were made repeatedly.
these lies are and were indefensible.
things may indeed be very different now, but this "one incident"
was bad business, and was handled in a highly unprofessional manner.

as i also stated previously:
i dealt with mr. kean a few years ago, and had
a pleasant and successful transaction.

i will add that he was very helpful, and showed
a sincere effort to help me restore my unit to
working order. that was then. this is now.

from merriam-webster collegiate dictionary:
fas·cism
Pronunciation: 'fa-"shi-z&m also 'fa-"si-
Function: noun

2 : a tendency toward or actual exercise of
strong autocratic or dictatorial control.
( see: http://www.m-w.com/ )

i also stand behind my grasp of the english language.

i understand that don has the unenviable task of trying to maintain
this list as a civil exchange of information, but it also serves as
an exchange of ideas and thoughts. some of these will rub certain people
the wrong way or get under their skin. many of the insults tossed about
here are far more offensive to me than a casual "dig" regarding a certain
model number of newly manufactured origin. but i do also appreciate that
there are commercial cross-purposes at work here, and this seems to be
the REAL cause for friction. let's not pretend otherwise.

if i am banned from the list for expressing this, then so be it.

i appreciate the need to defend yourself, the products you make, and
the absent mr. kean. (although why he remains absent i have to question)
i only know of and can speak of my firsthand experience.
others' mileage may vary.
i felt i owed to other owners and prospective owners to know what happened.
