Recently I finally found and bought a Mellotron,after a long quest : ).It's in pretty decent shape,both technically and cosmetically.I've been tinkering with the machine,cleaning and adjusting it,with the invaluable advice and help of Martin S. Ordered a new Streetly tape frame with flutes / strings / brass,all MKii.It came with the ( unusual? ) set of Sax / String Section /8 voice choir.For the next tape set I would love to get some more typical Moody sounds and wondered if you could maybe shed some more light on to what sound Pinder uses for his swoops in 'Best Way To Travel' and the ones leading up to the ' Voyage' ( notably in the live version of the latter )?Some organ sound?And technically,what's the best way of amplifying the Tron; I got it plugged into a guitar amp now but am I not losing anything due to bad impedance matching?
