I think you can get very close to "that" sound without a Marshall
stack in a professional studio. I send tron output through two
Yorkville AM 100 Acoustic Guitar Amps. (amp volumes at 11 and a touch
of reverb). Record with a SM57 mic, 7 feet back in a 12 X
14 room (nothing special).
I can't get quite the same results with direct recording.
Something about the high DB volume in the room gives the recording a
sharp edge. I tried lower volume on the amps, but the recording lost
the edge.
