I wouldn't necessarlly include Stevie Ray in the strictly blues category....the guy was
obviously a phenomenal player and it showed. I'm referring to the tired plodding 1-4-5
chord progressions of the hundreds of "blues" bands gracing the stages of local bars etc.
These musicians get together and due to their conflicting schedules making it hard to
have long dedicated rehearsals...will throw together a set of the easiest material everyone
knows i.e. "let's just do a blues jam man....Stormy Monday in Em."
