In the light of previous threads... wander over to MySpace, and check out Anekdoten's latest blog... if memory serves, it's entitled: Recording Mellotrons?
BTW: Mike Pinder DID have help in the creation of his studio Mellotron sound from Tony Clarke... but let's not forget the contributions of both Derek Varnals and Adrian Martins to the Moodies... and Pinder's Mellotron sound. For example: Derek Varnals (the engineer on the "classic 7" Moodies albums) had a background as a classical music engineer, before he joined the Moodies production team... I understand that he worked extensively with Mike on the creation of the Mellotron studio sound.
