Oh i don't mind it either to show an ID when buying such chemicals,
but what i fear is that it will be less available in general if it is a
hassle to sell.

I wouldn't think twice to buy any one of the chemicals alone, but buying
all you need for a popular type of explosive at once must look damn
suspicious, and can easily happen wih cupric chloride or cupric sulphate
etchants.
I don't think a terrorist will be so stupid to buy them all at once, but
those shop assistants here are required by law to do something (i don't
remember what exactly) when they identify a dangerous combination of
substances.
maybe it isn't an issue with relatively low quantity, i dunno.

I don't think these laws make it harder for the stupid people, remember
the story where they fed a small child 30% H2O2? Stupid people are just
that, they don't get any cleverer by laws.
