Subject: SLA7062M Group Purchase - thinking about making a stepper driver?

Hi Group,
This is a cross post from the Electronics 101 Yahoo group. I know
many of you here also post there.
There are several of us making our own stepper drivers using the
SLA7062M chip from Allegro Micro. It's a 3 amp unipolar stepper
driver that can operate at up to 45 volts. It is a remarkable chip,
allthough a bit pricy $8.60 @ QTY 40 --- $11.50 single piece (prices
are rounded).
I am far from an expert on this chip or electronics. I purchased a
kit which uses these chips and have been using it for over a year
and it is working good.
So, if you want to get in on this group purchase, hop over to the
electronics101 group and look through the posts there for the last
week or so to see how to get involved.
Hope this doesn't appear to be spam, just trying to save some of us
a few bucks on a group purchase.
Chris
