can't you run a hose to the garage?

I made a small shop air system from a fridge compressor and a empty fire
extinguisher.
The pressure switch was made from a pressure gauge, 2 light barrier
switches, and some clever transistor logic ;-). You see, "air on a budget".

Of course this is very low volume, and i only need it for a desolder gun.
I don't think it would be enough air for a air wand, for more than a few
seconds, anyway...

My gut feeling to the stacked fan thing is that ain't gonna work.

The air tools at ebay claim to have a diaphragm pump, but i somehow don't
see them having much volume.
