Hi All.
Well Iam glad to report that on my second attempt I managed to make a
perfect PC Board with only my second attempt.
There have been loads of info thanks to you all.. This is the process
I used and differs abit, but with combined info it worked 100%.
I used a normal HP Lazer 4L to print onto normal 80g paper..
I then cleaned PC board with steelwool and then dried with a hairdryer
thanks to my girlfriend as Iam going bold and no need for me to have
one.. <LOL>
Then I used a normal house Iron set to temp almost full temp then
ironed the printout onto the board by applying amount of hand
pressure.
The paper and board got very warm that I wasn't able to touch it.
One I was sure I had heated all the tracks I left the board to cool
down.
I then placed under running cold water and used finger to remove paper
by rubbing, it seemed to come off in layers. I then read about Windows
cleaner of the group and tried that. Not sure if it helped but I
continued rubbing until all the paper was removed and only the toner
stayed behind.
Off the to Ferric Cloride,, "DON'T HEAT" I heat it and then after
placing the board inside I thought, THE TONER. So placed in fridge to
cool and replaced the board to etch.
I then used steelwool to remove the toner and my board is done..
TOTAL TIME +- 20 from printout to time of drilling. WONDERFUL!!
So Iam not sure about all this special paper you talking about, I
couldn't find so I tried with NORMAL 80g photostat paper and worked
100%.
Maybe it's the water we have here that removes the paper with ease as
the water from the tap is used for drinking water in my country.
Hope this helps those that need help and thanks to those for all the
GOOD advise and time.
Anycomments are welcome as well.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!! 7hrs till midnight here in my country.
Thanks
Gary
