Well, IMO there are the following requirements for a direct-print ink:

a) etch resistant - means not water soluble and not attacked by the
etchant.
b) 100% coverage, not small "dots" only, also the ink must wet the copper.
c) enough thickness (amount of ink) printed to be able to resist the
etchant.
d) it must of course work with the printer and not clog up the head.

I have no C66 and don't plan on buying one for the experiment.
Please, if you have a inkjet (any model), stick a piece of kitchen
aluminum foil
to a sheet of paper and print on it. Then inspect it and if possible
provide us with a scan.
I believe even a etch test would be possible if you cover the back.
The advantage is it needs zero modification to the printer, is relatively
safe, and still
simulates the copper ok.
