Very old version of EE Designer II (very fast, absolutely stable, DOS/Win9x)
Current version of Cadint PCB <www.cadint.com> <www.cadint.se> (harder to
use, extremely powerful, absolutely stable, Win9x/2K/NT/XP. I use Cadint
to post-process the layouts I generate in EEDII - this includes any ground
planes or multi-layer stuff as well as Gerber generation.

I ∗still∗ use EEDII for most of my simple layouts 'cuz its just so much
quicker for me (15 plus years using it). However, I now use Cadint for my
complicated layouts.

About 30% of my layouts are single-sided (∗much∗ more difficult than
double-sided). Component placement is ∗everything∗.
