the filled areas are always not so dense.
My guess is that as the charged drum moves past the developer the "point
charge"
of a thin line gathers up the adjacent toner also. in a filled area it is
more spread.
i thought the working last section might be because then the foil did no
longer contact
metal parts and maybe was charged up a bit, but this is a wild guess, i do
not know
your printer...
