Alan,
Try Corel. Paintshop will display it. If you import
it into KCam you can step through the GCODE and see
it mill the board. The overlap of the trace can be
seen. You see the trace get drawn. Then there is a step
where nothing seems to be drawn. That's where the tool path
overlaps. You will see the blue travel line come out past
where the trace starts. By drawing an overlap you will get
less micro shorts. Notice how few travel lines there are!
Compare this to a file made by Eagle.
