Subject: HEAVY METAL toner transfer

I'm new here. I thought I posted this but I got no email so I'll try it again.

I was working through laminator toner tranfer mods and melted a plastic

gear

so while I was waiting for metal gears to arrive in the mail I

stumbled onto this stove top method and I already had the heavy metal and

the silicone rubber so my olny expense was the hot plate:

I am very pleased with the results.

All the time effort and money I spent on chasing laminator solutions

has not been for nothing. I learned a lot about what we wanted in

temperature and pressure.


The 6 inch square block of 1 inch steel plate plus the C clamp weighs 12 pounds. I'd call that a press.
