and the type of printer / cartridge
and if it was original equipmentmanufacture or not?

I have had good results with 70%iso-alcohol from Walmart.
The alcohol acts as a cleaner only, So,most types will serve this purpose.
The actual "transfer" medium isthe other ingredient.
