Subject: Cold Toner Transfer
John Snyder:
Photo of a part of a cold toner transfer.
Technique is as shown in the YouTube video.
Not perfect, but equal-to-or-slightly better than what I can get with hot transfer.
The important part for me is that it took me about 10 minutes to do the complete
operation, including a warm water rinse to peel off the paper backing.
And the process seems to be not as hit-and-miss as my hot transfer work.
I have not etched any of the boards yet, but I don't anticipate any problems.
I will use muriatic acid and hydrogen peroxide in a 50 to 50 solution.
I don't own a laser printer, so all of the laser copies are done at a local
quick copy shop.
I have no idea what type of toner they use or what kinds of printers they use
except that the laser printers a BIG machines. I supply the paper.
Of course, this photo is much, much larger than the actual board (about 8X), but it does serve to show detail of transfer.
