Subject: Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Miss that solder smell ;-)

I too wonder how I survived to reach the age of majority, when I consider the stupid stunts I pulled.
Must have been a "good egg"

Ouch Stefan,  that was mean ;-(... I'm sad now....

I do respect your work, and that of others, so if you say I need to commit myself to a hospital, I will. And hire an editor to review my responses.

I am a non-smoker raised from a chain smoking household, so god knows what that did.

Was really kidding for the most part as indicated by the wink emoticon ;-). I know these items are bad especially for fetal development indeed.

I think some are more genetically sensitive to heavy metals. It is better to control the exposure.

There was a man who sculpted decorative ornaments for cars back and his mental state seems fine, but he did have a gray pallor and strange curvatures in his skeletal form. He was on  "Monster Garage" once.

That being said, I have seen firsthand the negative effects of non-leaded solder in manufacturing.
Ive had personal equipment fail ( Plasma cutter: HyperTherm ) and replaced under warranty due to
solder issues.

Also the amazing tin whisker issue and other effects changed the rules for avionics, space, and military electronics. High reliability items call for lead content solder.

Just because I type fast and cover many forums doesn't make me make me mekme worry about about about
my exposurerererererss to toto oto lead and mercury.

I'm lucky I didn't get exposed to them in vapor forms too much.

That being said, Thanks to you, Mark Lerman, and others, for single-handedly raising the bar on prototype pcb development and sharing your results.
