The tough part with that package is getting the large pad on the bottom soldered to the board. If the PCB has a lot of plated-through holes under the chip, that can help, at least with inspection after the fact to make sure that large pad soldered. Do you have a board preheater?

Even an electric fry pan can be used for surface mount soldering. It helps, reportedly, if you have a glass lid to put on it.
