I have now read your comments (and the others) on "other annoying stuff" at Amazon.com. Interesting - wish I had searched harder!
Some will not affect me the way I want to use the press but I note some others that may do - or could do as I learn to use it for more things.
Interestingly, none of the comments show on the Amazon.CA site where I was searching. I had to "pretend" to be an American to see them. They do not seem to amalgamate the comments from around the world about a particular product.
Prices are very different on that side of the border!
