Where to begin is a long story in and of itself, but here I go...
I've been doing through hole etching for about 2.5 years now. I work mostly with brass, although I have done some aluminum. I have done a few circuit boards of my own design, but that is not where I spend most of my time. Because I do very detailed designs on very thin brass (.005 inch), the toner transfer method has never been an option. I use a dry film resist with a top and bottom stencil to get my designs made. Recently I have been wanting to create smaller and smaller etched items and have run into needing a better printer than the ones I've been using. The ones I've been using are 99% from Kinko's which is no longer an option (I'll explain in a longer post), and a HP4100.
I'll do some quality searching through the thousands of posts before posting any questions. I just wanted to introduce myself.
