Subject: Re: [Homebrew_PCBs] Re: quick prototype service for 1/32 inch thick boards?

If I didn't need the plated thru holes, I could do it myself too. :-)

This is for an inexpensive bicycle light product.

I want the PTH in order to evaluate the mechanical strength. The holes
are for mounting an LED and a battery clip. The LED and battery clip
are subject to some bending and flexing. On my homemade prototypes,
the LED pads broke rather easily.

It's a simple but rather dense circuit, 12 mil trace/space, 3 SOT-23-5
or -6. The newest version is not layed out yet.

The LED is a standard 5mm one, inserted into the board and then bent
over so it hangs off the edge of the board horizontally. The
connection should be rugged, reliable and weather resistant. Other
suggestions for mounting the LED would be welcome!

Thanks,
- Jan
